Privacy & Cookies

This page explains how TeenageGhostHunters.com may use cookies and related technologies, including those used to support advertising through Google AdSense.

Information we collect

When you use the story and photo submission form, we receive the name or display name, email address, submission category, story or description, photographs you attach, and any other information you choose to include. Our web server and hosting services may also process technical information such as IP addresses and request data to operate and protect the website.

How submissions are handled

The submission form sends your material to our designated email mailbox through our hosting provider. Submitted stories, descriptions, photographs and related correspondence may be retained in that mailbox and in our historical archive, including submissions we do not publish. We use submissions to review contributions, correspond with contributors, preserve the site’s history and consider material for publication under the permissions agreed to on the submission page. Submitting material does not guarantee publication.

Retention and your requests

We may retain submitted material and related records for an extended period as part of the Teenage Ghost Hunters historical archive. We do not promise automatic deletion after a fixed time. You may ask us to access, correct or delete personal information you have provided. We will review requests under applicable law, taking account of legitimate recordkeeping needs and material already lawfully published. Use the secure submission form linked below and begin your message with “Privacy request.”

Photographs and personal information

Please submit only photographs and stories that you have the right to share. Photos may contain identifying details or embedded metadata, such as location information. Avoid including home addresses, phone numbers or sensitive information about yourself or others. We review submissions before publication; we do not automatically publish uploaded files.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies and similar technologies may be used to operate website features, support advertising, remember privacy choices and help protect the submission process. Browser settings may let you block or remove cookies, although some features or preferences may then behave differently.

Google AdSense and advertising

TeenageGhostHunters.com uses Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to deliver, measure and, where permitted, personalize advertising. Depending on your location, legal requirements and choices, you may see personalized, non-personalized or restricted advertising. For more information, see Google’s partner-sites privacy information and Google Ads Settings.

Regional advertising privacy choices

A European regulations consent message and a US state regulations opt-out message have been published through Google AdSense for this website. Eligible visitors may be presented with the applicable message and its available choices. Publication in AdSense does not by itself confirm that a message has displayed correctly for every eligible visitor. We will review these configurations as the site and legal requirements evolve.

Hosting and service providers

Our web hosting and email provider processes submissions and email attachments to deliver and retain messages. Advertising and other third-party services may process data under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not sell contributor contact details or submitted stories and photographs as a mailing list.

Children and young contributors

Although this website features fictional teenage characters, the community submission form is not intended for children to provide personal information on their own. Anyone under 18 should have a parent or legal guardian submit material on their behalf. Please do not submit sensitive information about minors.

Security

We use server-side submission checks, file-type and size restrictions, a hidden anti-spam field and basic rate limiting. No online transmission or storage method is completely secure. We do not claim that an optional CAPTCHA service is active unless it has been configured and verified.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page when our services or privacy practices change. The date at the top identifies the latest revision.

Contact and privacy requests

For privacy questions or requests concerning your information, use our secure submission form. Choose “Story” and start your message with “Privacy request.” Do not attach sensitive identity documents unless we specifically explain a secure way to provide them.
